Class discussed the major issues facing the nation during the decade; Detente, China, Arab-Israeli Conflict, Vietnam, Oil Embargo Crisis, Civil Rights, Stagflation, Iranian Revolution, and Watergate.

Student are to then read Chapter 27 Sec 1 & 3 and explain which President was the most effective and least effective during the decade. The student’s opinion should be supported with facts based on the major issues of the decade.
