STLP State 2026

This will be a live post throughout the day of images from the event.

STLP, for me, is what it means to be a modern, 21st-century school. Students and teachers work together as students identify real problems and make decisions on how to solve them; they also learn to use technology in innovative ways that adults might not have considered, then present their findings to the larger school community. They participate in a range of other activities as well, from coding challenges to competitive events like Sumobots and technology-driven tasks that require moving objects or solving puzzles. It could be just about anything that allows students to demonstrate their ability to integrate technology into the real world, addressing problems that exist today or may exist in the future.

Project Challenges: schools identify a problem that could be community or individual based and then use technology to solve the problem and then share it with others. This can range the gamut from schools making a web page for lost and found all the way up to coding that helps farmers be more efficient with their property using iPads and GIS maps.
