Students should be encouraged to write something daily and at least once a week write about 3 things they are grateful for today. Using different view points and not always focusing on the negative can help students grow their positive outlook for long term success. Additionally, let students have some lead way and space to show creativity. Let them record their reading, draw a response, make digital artwork, or even a video short.
