- February 1, 2003, Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated as it reentered the atmosphere over Texas and Louisiana, killing all seven astronauts on board.
- February 7, 1971 – Apollo 14 Moon Landing: NASA’s Apollo 14 mission, led by Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell, landed on the moon, conducting scientific experiments and lunar exploration.
- February 12, 2001 – NEAR Shoemaker Landing on Eros: The Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous (NEAR) spacecraft successfully landed on the asteroid Eros, providing valuable data about asteroids.
- February 20, 1962 – John Glenn’s Orbital Flight: John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth during the Friendship 7 mission as part of NASA’s Mercury program.
