- March 14, 1879 – Birth of Albert Einstein: Albert Einstein, known for his groundbreaking work on the theory of relativity, was born in Ulm, Germany.
- March 18, 1965 – First Human Spacewalk: Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov conducted the first-ever spacewalk, lasting about 12 minutes during the Voskhod 2 mission.
- March 25, 1965 – First Spacewalk by an American: Astronaut Edward Wilson became the first American to perform a spacewalk during the Gemini 9 mission.
