- November 3, 1957 – Launch of Laika: The Soviet Union launched Laika, the first living creature, into space aboard Sputnik 2.
- November 13, 1971 – Mariner 9’s Arrival at Mars: NASA’s Mariner 9 became the first spacecraft to orbit Mars, studying the planet’s surface and atmosphere.
- November 12, 1980 – Voyager 1’s Encounter with Saturn: NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft passed by Saturn, providing close-up images and data of the planet and its rings.
- November 20, 1988 – U.S., Russia, Canada, Japan, and the participating countries of the European Space Agency launched the first parts of the International Space Station.
